6 ways to start loving yourself the way you deserve to be loved

Loving yourself can seem like a daunting task, but trying these simple ideas can make a dramatic difference in your life. There is no better time than right now to give yourself a little extra loving.

1 - Walk barefoot on the Earth

Walk outside! Feel the dew on the grass, the sand under your feet or let the mud squelch between your toes

2 - Breathe

As strange as it may sound we often forget to breathe. Try breathing in through your nose for the count of 4 then breathe out for the count of 6.

3 - Eat

Ditch the junk food and get some fresh vegetables on your plate. Or you could try out a new recipe that you've not had on your to-do list. Enjoy some new textures, experiences and wonderful tastes.

4 - Smile

You control how often you smile, but remember a smile is a gift that you share with yourself and others.

5 - Appreciate little things about yourself

Sometimes loving yourself as a whole can seem an impossible task. So try appreciating your eyes, or your earlobes or any small part of yourself and build on the appreciation little by little.

6 - Tap and Breathe

Emotional Freedom Technique also known as tapping is a simple yet powerful way to give yourself a gentle loving boost.
