Hemp Seed Anzac Biscuits

These biscuits aren’t exactly healthy, but they do have delightful texture which when combined with the hemp seeds which add a marvellous nuttiness to these biscuits.

  • 75 grams Butter OR Coconut oil

  • 2 Tablespoons Golden syrup OR Maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar OR Rapadura

  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 1/2 cup Wholemeal plain flour OR GF flour

  • 1 Cup Rolled oats OR Quinoa flakes

  • 1/2 cup Hemp Seeds

  • 1 Teaspoon Chia Seeds

  • 2 Tablespoons Flaxseeds

  • 3 Tablespoons Boiling water

  1. Melt butter, sugar and golden syrup in saucepan over low heat.

  2. In a small cup dissolve baking soda in 1 tablespoon of the boiled water.

  3. In small bowl combine chia and flax seeds to 2 tablespoons boiled water and allow water to be soaked up by the seeds.

  4. Remove sugar syrup from heat then add baking soda and stir well until syrup golden and frothy.

  5. Stir in all dry ingredient then add the chia, flaxseed mix. Combine well.

  6. Scoop tablespoon of mixture onto lined baking trays and bake at 180C until golden brown (approximately 8-12 mins).

  7. Allow to cool and then enjoy!

If you follow a GF or Fodmap diet these are delicious without the oats, you can add increase the hemp seeds or decimated coconut.
